Our GRL-PWR journey began in Chantilly, VA. Beginning as an after school group at Liberty Elementary, GRL-PWR grew to become a camp hosted through the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation department. Since our origin, GRL-PWR has worked with nearly 200 girls in the Northern Virginia area and has implemented GRL-PWR initiatives and events such as the GRL-PWR Birthday Party as well as the GRL-PWR Giving Back Challenge. Our work in Northern Virginia has led us to be recognized by a variety of organizations including the Sterling Women's Association. In addition, we were the recipients of the Wells Fargo Community Grants award for three consecutive years.
